Empire is Here!!!!

Empire 0 days

empire smash cover art

I have lost everything.

My purpose

My love

My soul

Death knocks on my door, I want to answer, but every time I reach for the handle — the promise I made her brings me back.

So I breathe.

I live.

I hate.

And I allow the anger to oil beneath the surface of a perfectly indifferent facade. I am broken, I don’t want to be fixed.

But the Empire is crumbling and it’s my job to fix it.

My job to mend the pieces that were scattered over thirty years ago.

A trip to New York, only one chance to redeem a lost part of our mafia family.

The only issue is, the only way to fix it, is to do something I swore I’d never do again.

An arranged marriage.

Only this time.

I won’t fall.

Or so help me God, I will kill her myself.

My name is Sergio Abandonoto, you think you know my pain, my suffering, my anger, my hate?

You have no idea.

I am the mafia.

I am the darkness.

Blood in. No out.

EXCERPT

Sergio looked ready to strangle me. “No. I don’t believe I asked for an annoying little sister, but if that’s what you’re offering, please don’t let me stop you. Just know, I won’t hesitate to put you over my knee if you get out of hand.”

The minute the words left his mouth. I froze.

He froze.

The taxi driver stared little laser like holes into the rearview mirror.

And Sergio leaned toward me.

I swallowed as tension swirled around us.

He gripped me by the chin and turned my head to the side, his lips brushing my ear. “It’s like you have a death wish.”

“You wouldn’t do it.”

He pulled back as both of his eyebrows shot up, and then he looked down, like he had spotted something.

I followed the direction of his gaze and let out a little gasp as a gun dug into my stomach.

“It’s been directed at you for the last four minutes,” Sergio said through a practiced smile. “I meant what I said. Listen well. I keep my word. Kiss me, and blood will be spilled.”

“Y-you’re a crazy person!” I hissed, shoving at his chest. “And I wasn’t going to kiss you!”

“Sure you weren’t.” He put the gun away. “Good talk though, right? Oh look, the movie theater.”

To say that I scrambled out of the car like a kid running away from her kidnapper would be a gross understatement, but the minute my feet hit the pavement, I paused.

My body told me to run.

The guy had pulled a gun.

On me.

I didn’t even watch violent movies.

Get the beginning of Sergio’s story in Elude

elude

Twenty-Four hours before were were to be married–I offered to shoot her.

Ten hours before our wedding–I made a mockery of her dying wish.

Five hours before we were going to say our vows–I promised I’d never love her.

One hour before I said I do–I vowed I’d never shed a tear over her death.

But the minute we were pronounced man and wife–I knew.

I’d only use my gun to protect her.

I’d give my life for hers.

I’d cry.

And I would, most definitely, lose my heart, to a dying girl–a girl who by all accounts should have never been mine in the first place.

I always believed the mafia would be my end game–where I’d lose my heart, while it claimed my soul. I could have never imagined. It would be my redemption.

Or the beginning of something beautiful.

The beginning of her.

The end of us.

Blurb

June Mayson and Evan Barrister’s whirlwind courtship resulted in a secret marriage right before he left for boot camp. Evan knows deep in his gut that June is too good for him, but after getting a taste of the beautiful life they can have together, he’s unwilling to let her go. June promises to wait for him, knowing neither time or distance will ever change her feelings for Evan—that is until she’s served with divorce papers while he’s overseas and she’s forced to let him go.

Her marriage and divorce a well-kept secret, the last person June expects to run into when she moves back to her hometown is Evan. Angry over the past, she does everything within her power to ignore the pull she feels whenever he is near. But how can she ignore the pain she sees every time their eyes meet? How can she fight the need to soothe him even if she knows she’s liable to get hurt once again?

Is it possible for June and Evan to find their way back to each other again? Or will they be stopped by an outside force before they ever have a shot?

Excerpt 1

Seeing Evan again is taking a toll on me, I can’t sleep and my mind is in a constant state of turmoil. I wake up in the middle of the night from dreams of us. The memories of him, of us are too much. Some memories have the ability to heal. The ability to light up the dark because the beauty of the memory is so bright you’re still able to bask in it.

But the memories of us are killing me slowly. They remind me that for one moment I had everything while reminding me it’s gone. It’s the realization that we’re done that’s killing me. The realization that I can see him but can’t touch him that he exist but he’s not mine is agonizing.

Excerpt 2

He’s beautiful his body is a work of art I want to touch him, I want to know what It feels like to have his bearded face against my delicate skin, I want to know if the rough edges I now see are smooth to the touch.

“June.” My name in his course tone gets my attention but when our eyes meet its not anger he’s looking at me with, its raw, powerful, hungry possessiveness.

God, I love winning.

That is, until the dickhead opens his mouth again. “Oh, Miss Prescott, I forgot to tell you, I love your taste in underwear.” The wine I’d just sipped suddenly goes flying across the table, right onto Nick’s shirt.

“Oh, shit!” I shout, garnering unwanted attention from the people around us as I leaned across the table and dab at the offending stain with my napkin. “I’m so sorry! I’ll pay for the dry cleaning.”

Nick clears his throat awkwardly. “He’s seen your underwear?”

“She looks fucking phenomenal in lace,” the bastard says. “And that thong…” he trails off with a moan, closing his eyes as he lifts his wine glass to his mouth and takes a sip.

“I feel like I’m missing something pretty serious here,” Nick mutters.

“Those damned uniform skirts,” I smile manically, still rubbing at the stain that seems to be growing larger. “Can’t bend over an inch without them showing everything.” I sit back in my chair and shoot Gavin a look that explains, in great detail, the way I’m planning to murder him. “Obviously, Mr. Saint lacks all gentlemanly decorum since he brought it up.”

Nick pushes his chair back and stands. I have a sudden wave of panic that he’s bailing on our date, leaving with his feelings hurt and me alone with Gavin. “Excuse me for just a minute,” he smiles politely. “I’m just going to go put some water on…this,” he waves at the front of his ruined shirt.”

“Oh. Oh! Yeah, sure!” I answer, relieved he’s not bailing on me, although I know I’d deserve it. Once he’s gone, I turn to Gavin. “You’re Satan, you know that?” I hiss. “Fucking Satan!”

“I’d say I just made your date more interesting, Miss Prescott.”

Snuff is Live!!!!

WARNING:
This book is not just dark – it’s horrific, depraved and disturbing. If you do not enjoy books containing blood, guts, taboo and more – this book is not for you

Sofia:

I remember the days when it was me and the ice.

The jarring sounds that my skates would make when they’d slice through my frozen stage… remembering my mother’s smiling face as she watched me perform.

She was so proud.

She was the best.

Then she was taken suddenly. I never even got to say goodbye.

It was her wish that I go to Russia to discover my roots, and I did.

I never, in a million years, would foresee what would happen after that.
In order to survive, sometimes you have to do things that you’re not proud of.

My entire life has been a performance. At first, it was the ice.
And now… it’s behind an 8 millimeter camera.

The second book in this series will be released summer 2016.

Cassy Maria’s Review of Snuff

This is probably going to be the hardest review I’ve written, not because I didn’t enjoy this book but because I did. You know when you are watching a horror movie and that intense moment when something so graphic is happening that you grab for a pillow and cover your face cause your just too terrified to watch what is going on? Well that was what happened with me while reading Snuff except I had no pillow and I couldn’t stop reading it. Page after page Bonny sucked me into her dark and twisted world and held me captive, and left me with one hell of a book hangover.  Her dark and haunting characters will have you questioning who you know and who you can trust.  Kidnapping, Murder, Family and Revenge Snuff is an intense and graphic read that will leave you on the edge of your seat! I cannot wait for more!

“Hello Miss Prescott. What brings you here this fine morning?”
Her eyes are glued to my chest, not a single word comes out of her mouth.
“Um, we’re having a picnic,” Page answers for her, poking Penelope in the back with a stick.
“Oh yeah, food,” Penelope answers, shaking her head quickly and turning back around.
Not waiting for an invitation, I take a seat next to her and say, “Well, don’t mind if I do. I’m famished.” Grabbing a few grapes, I pop them in my mouth and then hold my hand out to Page. “Gavin Saint.”
“Page,” she answers, awe in her voice. “Nell has told me so much about you.”
Grinning from ear to ear, I turn to Penelope whose face is bright red. “Is that so?”
“No!” she answers quickly, shooting daggers at her friend. “I have not said anything about you, at all.”
“Not even about the storage closet?” I ask, not ashamed at all.
Davies throws her head back and laughs while Penelope coughs into her drink. I pat her back in a calming gesture, occasionally rubbing my hand over the thin material of her top, wishing it were her skin.
“From your reactions, it seems like our little friend here did tell you. What did she say? Give me all the dirt.” I rub my hands together, loving the way Penelope is seething next to me.
Before any of the girls could cut in, Penelope says, “Just that you told me you had to use your fingers because you have a micro-penis and felt bad that you wouldn’t be able to please me any other way. We all agreed, you can’t have it all Gavin Saint,” she finishes with a sympathetic wince.
Should have seen that one coming. Fucking woman keeps me on my toes.
I lean over to Penelope, placing my hand on her lower back, and speak directly into her ear, keeping our conversation private. “You and I both know that’s a lie, but I’ll let it slide because I look forward to the moment when I fuck that thought right out of your head with my long…thick…cock.” I take my time speaking into her ear, eliciting goose bumps across the surface of her skin. With a quick glance, I also take in how her nipples have hardened.
Bluff all you want baby, I can read you like a fucking book.

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.
Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.
In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.
Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

When your best friend is also your boss, ‘great ideas’ aren’t always optional.
After all, when you run the largest fashion, gossip and trend blog in the country, you got to take risks to keep it edgy.
Believe me. This is edgy.
The idea? For one week, date every male fantasy.
The list?
The Jock
The Rock star
The Billionaire
The Stepbrother
See how they are all crossed off except one? That’s because he’s Satan.
And Scottish.
And my best friend’s stepbrother.
And there may or may not have been an incident in Jr. high that he hasn’t forgiven me for…but that’s history.
Or so I hope, because I’m at his mercy for the next week…

I pushed too hard on the handle and it sprang off, clattering to the floor and increasing the water to full blast as it poured into the sink.
“I’ve got it.” I bent down to get the handle, grasping it just as Kirby did. And even though I had held his hand all day, on and off, just the simple touch of his fingers across mine was electric. I glanced up, wondering if it was just me.
His blue eyes dilated slightly as his gaze moved from mine and down to my lips, then back. I released the handle and stood as he did.
I backed into the corner to let him access the sink, but all I could really do was inch over so he could lean across me. The air was permeated with his spicy sweet cologne, calling to me and sending heat to all the wrong — or right — places.
“Fixed.” He turned the water off, but didn’t back away. Rather he shifted, making us hip to hip. He rested his hands on the counter; I glanced down noticing how they practically dug into it, as if holding himself there when he wanted to move… to touch. My heartbeat pounded through my body, echoing in my ears. I glanced up. He didn’t move and I watched as he watched me… as if waiting.
Waiting for me to make the first move.
Instinctively, I knew that this was different. This wouldn’t be just a kiss. This would be a turning point — and there would be no going back.
Did I want that?
Hell, yes.
Did I want to risk that?
Hell, no.
He must have seen the conflict in my expression, and he glanced away, shifting as if about to move. But I knew that as pivotal as this was… if I didn’t take the risk, I’d regret it.
Forever.
So before he even moved a full inch, I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him back. “Not this time.” His eyes flashed with blue fire and he leaned forward slightly, but paused.
Still waiting.
I reached my arms up and slowly trailed my fingers through his beard, marveling at its soft texture. He groaned low in his throat as I continued my caress up to his head and tugged on the tousled curls.
“Merry,” he murmured my name, low and deep.
I gently pulled his head down toward me, marveling at how easily and carefully he did as I asked.
I rested my hands in his soft beard as I gently kissed his lower lip, savoring the smooth texture of it as I caressed it with my tongue.
After releasing his lip, I went back for more. This time I flicked my tongue against his mouth, tentatively meeting his and then pulling away gently.
His hands moved to splay across my hips, pulling me in tight against him, running his fingers up and down my side then wrapping around my back and holding me secure as he returned the kiss. His hands roamed my back as he bit my lip, taking it into his mouth and caressing it softly with his tongue before releasing it and starting over, only with a different angle. His hands wove through my hair. I reached around his broad shoulders and pulled him in close, yet not nearly close enough. He broke the kiss and lifted me onto the counter so that I straddled his stomach, my legs wrapped around his back as he continued kissing down my neck, giving me shivers that made my toes curl.
I ran my fingers through his hair as he tugged the neckline of my sweater down and nipped at my shoulder, giving me goose bumps. I traced my fingers around his belt and tugged at his Henley, lifting the fabric up. He lifted his hands and broke the kiss only long enough to pull the shirt over his head before he attacked my lips once more. His bare skin was smooth against my palms as I memorized the lines and valleys. Warm heat radiated from him and I pressed in, wanting — needing to be closer.
The heat from his back burned my hands, searing them. There was no way I could touch him enough, or pull him in tighter. As if reading my mind, he reached behind me, pulled me off the counter, and carried me toward the living room. His lips left mine just long enough to navigate the narrow hall of the kitchen and pass by the sofa until we reached his room. He met my lips once more, slowly kissing me as if savoring the sensation, the contact. Holding tightly to his warm back, I memorized his flavor — the scent of masculine spice that simply permeated the air around him.  With his foot, he kicked the door fully open and then leaned back, breaking the kiss.
With a smirk, he all but dropped me on the bed.
“Hey!” I balanced myself, narrowing my eyes. But I didn’t have a chance to fully right myself before Kirby gave me a playful shove, making me lie back down with him hovering over me.
“Much better.” He grinned, his blue eyes twinkling before he hungrily captured my mouth in a kiss that put all others before it to shame.

Kristin’s inspiration for the romance she writes comes from her tall, dark and handsome husband with killer blue eyes. With five children to chase, she is never at a loss for someone to kiss, something to cook or some mess to clean but she loves every moment of it!

Cassy Maria’s Review of The One

Let me start off by saying I was completely blown away by Kristin Vayden’s The One! This beautiful and hilarious story is a must read!

In The One we are introduced to Meredith, a young woman who works with her best friend Roxi on a very popular blog. When Roxi tell Meredith of a poll that she has taken with her followers she needs Meredith’s help with the following through on which type of guy holds the most sex appeal. With the followers being undecided Roxi needs Meredith to report back the dates that she will be set up on with  The Jock, The Rock Star, The Alpha male, The Millionaire and The Stepbrother, also hoping that Meredith may happen to stumble along the one in the process.

As Meredith reports on her dates, some good and some just out right hilarious. Roxi informs her that she will need to go to Scotland to follow through with her last two dates. Meredith is thrilled with an all expense paid work trip to Scotland but it’s who picks her up at the airport that shocks her.

Kirby or Church as he prefers to be called now is Roxi’s step brother and grew up with Meredith; the two have always been at odds and are shocked find out that they will be spending some time together dating.  Laugh out loud banter, beautiful tour of Scotland and lots of surprises along the way The One is a beautiful and romantic story that warms the heart.  Merry and Kirby’s sizzling chemistry is off the charts and make for very memorable and lovable characters.

Kristin Vayden has an amazing ability to transport you from the comfort of your own home, (or wherever you are reading) to the beautiful sights and wonders of Scotland. ( I’m seriously and dying to go to Scotland now)

I cannot tell you as to how much I enjoyed this book and I recommend everyone read this!

NAKED TRUTH
M.D. Saperstein
Released April 18th, 2016

Violet

I knew at a very young age that I
wasn’t normal. I may look normal. I may act normal. But I am not normal, not in
the head at least. Wait, that sounds bad.
When I started kindergarten, I was
able to pick out all 50 states on a map. By first grade, I knew all of the
names of all of the students and teachers in my entire school. My dad and I
always watched football on TV together. When I turned seven, he took me to my first
Miami Dolphins game. I started calling the plays even before they were made.
And by the time I was 10, I could tell you what happened on any day of my life
without thought. I had total recall, no hesitation, no conscious thought.
I’m not autistic. I’m not a savant
or a genius. It’s more than a case of photographic memory. In fact, I don’t
memorize anything. I have Hyperthymesia. Plain and simple: If I live it, hear
it, or see it – I remember it. No exceptions.

I knew at a very young age
that I wanted to be a cop. Not just any cop, but a detective. Chasing bad guys
and taking down mobsters. But like my good buddy, Mick, says, “You can’t always
get want you want.”
So instead of arresting criminals
and keeping the streets safe, I am dancing in a dingy club, making a living
shaking my ass and pulling dollar bills out of my crack. Not the life I grew up
wanting to lead. Not what I expected or hoped for myself.
But maybe if I wait it out. If I
hang tight, it will all be worth it in the end. I will get what I came for and
move on. I will earn my future and pave my own way. What is that he says? “If
you try sometimes…you get what you need.” From your lips to God’s ears, Mick.
**STANDALONE. No Cliffhanger! Due to
strong language and sexual content, this book is recommended for readers over
the age of 18.**

Excerpt

I turn to get into my car and I can feel Jordan at my back.  He’s so close, I can feel his body heat. It’s clear that he doesn’t want this night to end as much as I don’t.  I’m dying for him to kiss me dirty, but I know when the time is right it’s going to be magical. I slide into the driver’s seat and he leans in for one last kiss.  This time on my cheek.  He’s getting closer! He stands back up and starts to back away, hands in surrender.

“You better go before I lose control.  I’m barely holding on here, Violet.”

I smile.  Just his admission is enough.  But then I see his hand trying to discreetly adjust himself, and now I know my earlier thoughts were correct.  I’m scandalized and pleased at the same time. Knowing – seeing proof – that he is turned on because of me, lights my body on fire, and my panties are suddenly very wet.

“Goo…Good night!”  I say one last time, stumbling over my words and too embarrassed by my body’s reaction to make eye contact.  I really need to go before I do or say something stupid.

“Soon, sweetheart,” is the last thing I hear from his lips, and I spend the night wondering what exactly he is promising.

Hi! My name is M.D. Saperstein. I am currently a stay at
home mom with my two gorgeous kids. I wasn’t always a full time mom, though.
After graduating from the University of Florida – Go Gators! – I attended law
school at Stetson University. I spent the next 10 years practicing law. I also
spent some time counseling mental health patients in an outpatient psychiatric
hospital. But, until having my own children, my most rewarding job by far was
licensing families to receive abused and neglected foster children.

So, that brings us to today. In my spare time,
while my children were napping, I started editing novels for other authors. The
more I edited, the more ready I felt to write my own. I just needed a new and
exciting story line. Once Hey There, Delilah was conceived, the ball starting
rolling very quickly. I hooked up with fellow author Andria Large, and we
decided to tackle it together. Best decision ever!

I spend most of my free time with my husband and
children. But when I get some “me” time, I love to read. Mostly
romance and erotica, but I don’t discriminate – a good book is a good book, no
matter the genre.

Meghan Quinn

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

Jessica Prince

“Disappointed?” he asks with smug confidence.
“About?” I mutter too quickly…too transparently.
His deep laugh slashes through the air.
“You know exactly what—and we both know the answer is yes.”
The sexual magnetism between us is thick. He grabs me by the hips and pulls me to him, breaking the silence with a hoarse whisper.
“My sentimental, romantic Echo isn’t wearing the look of a woman who just got the kiss she’s always dreamed of—pictured a million times.”
He lets his gaze roam over me, slow and seductive, then stares right into my eyes and demands, in growled authority, “Wipe it off.”
“Wh-what?” I stammer breathlessly.
He tugs me closer—hard—our bodies now fused together.
“Wipe. It. Off,” he repeats. “Get him off your lips—my lips—and swear to me you’ll never think of it again. Because knowing you didn’t want or like it, and will easily forget it, is the only thing stopping me from beating the bloody piss out of him right now.”
